Adult Programming

Does anyone old enough want something new? Anime Milwaukee will give you something new, fresh, and exciting. Why? Because we care about our older con-goers, of course!

Adult Screening:

For the first time, we will have late night screenings of adult anime for those of you who are 18 and older. So whether you are a yaoi fangirl or somebody who craves adult comedy, bring your IDs and your funny bones as well. There may be major fits of laughter during these screenings. Adult screenings will take place on both Saturday morning and Sunday morning from 12:10am to 4:10am. If you have any questions about adult screening or want to know the schedule for it, please contact the Adult Programming Department Head, Mike Bleakly, at adultprogramming@animemilwaukee.com.

Rules for adult screening:

1. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter the screening room.
2. You must present a valid photo ID (State, Federal, Military) to security at the door of the screening room.
3. Anything that is illegal outside of the convention is illegal inside of the convention.
4. Please abide by all Anime Milwaukee convention rules.
5. Please abide by all Anime Milwaukee screening room rules.
6. Please treat everyone with respect.
7. Laughing is encouraged, but please don’t be obnoxious.

Failure to follow these rules may lead to removal from the screening room, denial of the ability to enter the room, and/or removal from the convention. So please follow the rules and be happy. Thanks!

Speed Dating - Mark II:

Did you all enjoy speed dating last year? Well, it's back again at AMKE, only this time there is a bit of a twist. We are having separate Hetero and LGBT speed dating sessions on both Friday and Saturday nights, and we hope that you can make it for a fun hour of meeting, talking, laughing, and socializing with new people in a safe and open environment. Speed Dating will once again be taking place in the Polaris this year, and we look forward to seeing you!

We are doing registration for speed dating at-con, starting approximately 20 minutes before each session is scheduled to begin.

Here are the times for the speed dating sessions:
Friday: 9PM-10PM - Hetero
10:30PM-11: 30PM – LGBT

Saturday: 9PM-10PM – LGBT
10:30PM-11: 30PM – Hetero



We are currently looking for people to help with running the speed dating sessions, so if you are interested, please contact Mike at adultprogramming@animemilwaukee.com.

2. You must present a valid photo ID (State, Federal, Military) to security at the entrance to the Polaris.
3. You must sign a waiver (provided beforehand) to participate in the speed dating session.
4. Anything that is illegal outside of the convention is illegal inside of the convention.
5. Please abide by all Anime Milwaukee convention rules.
6. Please treat everyone with respect.
7. Photography is allowed during speed dating, but you must obtain permission from the photo’s subject first.
8. Please DO NOT vandalize anything in the Polaris.

Failure to follow these rules may lead to removal from the Polaris, denial of the ability to enter the Polaris, and/or removal from the convention. Follow the rules, and everyone will have fun. Thanks!
