Trainers Rendezvous is an event run by Pokémon fans, for Pokémon fans, and it's being held at Anime Milwaukee for the first time this year!
Pokémon Snap Live new!Ends at 2:30pm on SaturdayIn addition to the standard Trainers Rendezvous events, Pokémon Snap Live is a brand new event for you this year! Made with those carrying fond memories of Pokémon Snap on the Nintendo 64 in mind, this event will test your real-life photography skills. Being based on the video game, the goal is to take picture of Pokémon cosplayers and gijinka (Pokémon characters in human form) during the convention with a digital camera. You'll have until 2:30pm on Saturday, February 18 to take your pictures; afterwords, judges will evaluate the entries and award prizes to the best picture in each of four categories. Gym Leaders TournamentFriday from 3:00pm - 8:30pm and Saturday from 10:00am - 5:30pmThe main event we hold is the Gym Leaders Tournament. If you choose to compete, you will battle 8 gym leaders in order to obtain their badges. However, you must act quickly because every gym leader has a limited amount of badges, and once they run out they're gone. The objective is to obtain more badges than anyone else and, in the event of a tie, defeat the remaining trainers! Gym Leader Tournament Rules and Info:
Pokémon TCG TournamentFriday at 6pmEach round will consist of a one round (or best 2 of 3, if only a few people show up) game, consisting of a 6-prize match. Players will provide their own means of keeping track of damage, whether by damage counters, dice or paper and pencil. Any argument will be settled by the Judge (Daniel Greinke). Rulings are final. All rules of general play will be observed. A rulebook will be on hand for reference. Only the sets deemed "Tournament Legal" are allowed in play. These include all sets from Heart Gold and Sour Silver to Next Destinies:
