The forum host renewed their domain, so the forums are back.
If you are running a panel, please download, fill out and bring this form with you to the con.
A little more detail can be found on the volunteer page.
We've been getting more than a few questions about if badges are mailed or not.
Due to some very long and boring details
(which I will spare you from)
we are not mailing badges to people who pre-registered.
Pre-reg badges will be ready and waiting for you at the door. Please bring photo I.D. or your pre-reg receipt.
Hmm... looks like the free forum site let their domain expire. The forums are down, no eta on their return.
Con rules have been added (read: shamelessly copied from last year) under the convention hours (here on the main page)
A small change has been made to the 2-day pass for non UWM students 15 and over (from $30 to $25)
Video game room rules have changed a bit, and a dance page has been added under events.
The Cosplay Contest and Character Auction times have shifted a little.
We still have room for more panels. As an added bonus, everyone who is doing a panel gets free reg! Sign up here.
There are important details regarding free reg for panelists, look here for details. The deadline for signing up for a panel is Friday, February 13.
We are also looking for people to volunteer
during the con. Volunteers also get free reg! Again, important details are here.
The forums have gotten a facelift! Sections have been moved, added, and tossed about. The end result, a logically structured forum (Thanks to Peter for doing that!)
The Cosplay Contest, Character Auction, Volunteering, Panels, Vendor and Arist info
pages have been updated.
The game room page in being updated with tournament information, and we're having a
Pop'n Music 14 Arcade Cabinet brought in as well. Look forward to it!
VIZ Pictures has given us a banner, so up it goes.
After looking back at last year's timeline it seemed like it was a good idea to put panel descriptions up, so I did. The events drop down now has 2 separate buttons for panel sign-up
and panel descriptions (panels). We're still looking for people to host panels, so if you have an idea sign up here!
As a final touch, information about the martial arts room has been added to the events page
I've been staring at the AMKE facebook page for
a few months now. So the Con Coordinator walks
up to me and slaps me upside the head and
says, "You should put a link to our Facebook on the main page and tell people to friend us *wink* *wink*"
Ok...so that's not exactly what happened, but here's the link to our Facebook. Be sure to friend us!
Pre-reg for individuals is ending soon (January 17th) but if you have a group of 10 or more you can pre-reg (and get a discount) until January 31st, 2009. Send an email to anime_milwaukee@yahoo.com if you have a
group of 10 or more.
Another big update, information has been added to the video game room and contact us pages
(I can't believe I forgot to put the advertising team on it before now). I've finally finished the AMV Contest and advertising pages, and the details for artist reg have finally been worked
out.
If you have a group of 10 or more, send an email to anime_milwaukee@yahoo.com so we can give you a discount off of pre-reg!
That new Location button on the navbar just barely fits (which is a good thing, because I don't have time to re-design it.) I've also put the
hotels page back up for people looking for that information. Hover over the register button and you'll see the hotels button under artist reg
I didn't think it was possible, but after spending the entire day trying to get the site updates to display properly in Internet Explorer I think I dislike it even more.
The nav bar now uses javascript to display, so if you have javascript disabled you won't be able to see it.
A few guests have given us their bios, go check them out on the guests page
