Being a volunteer is a great way to begin to get involved with Anime Milwaukee. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and are required to work a minimum of 12 hours over the course of the weekend. Hours are flexible and no prior training is needed. At the end of the convention weekend you will get perks like receiving a reimbursement for your badge and being entered in a drawing to win special prizes.

New to 2013! Instead of volunteers being entered into a raffle to win prizes at random, you will instead be able to participate in a Volunteers Only Avengers Themed Scavenger Hunt! The Volunteering Department Staff Members will each represent a different Avenger and will be cosplaying them in some way. You've gotta catch 'em all! Find all of them and complete the mini quest each one gives to you. Every mini quest you complete earns you a 'token'. The more tokens you have the better your final prize will be! There are 10 staff members possible to find with two possible 'alter ego costumes' available as extra credit catches. That means whomever earns the 10 main tokens first wins the grand prize! There are also separate bonus prizes for those who collect the 2 Bonus Tokens and separate prizes also for working over 12 hours. There are many layers of prizes, so everyone can win at least a little something even if they don't complete all the quests.
The contest opens at 10am Friday Feb. 15 and closes on Sunday Feb.17 at noon.

Becoming staff for Anime Milwaukee is the perfect way to make this con your con! We are always looking for dedicated people to join their force! There are so many ways to get involved and so many different skill sets involved in making the convention not only run smoothly, but sparkle and shine! To be part of staff you must be at least 18 years old, able to attend meetings prior to the convention, and meet a minimum amount of hours worked over the course of the weekend. Benefits of being staff are free badge, bed, and food over the weekend, fun atmosphere to work in, and, of course, the great feeling of sharing fandom with others!
