Yeah I'd say Ben Nye or some other high quality costume makeup is the way to go unless you're really sure how your skin reacts to the cheaper cream stuff. I nearly fainted the first time I cosplayed Aradia because of all the stuff on my skin.

Any decision on where/when the meetup is going on yet? I'm not familiar with the location, but I'm thinking that maybe the afternoon on Saturday would be the most convenient (typically seems like a pretty ideal meetup time). Then again if there's no decision on where/when we are Homestucks and things tend to just...

8-)

happen....,,.,

^should be Comic Sans.

Also, good luck, TT. What materials did you decide on?

I'm just starting the Handmaid horns, which are proving to be quite difficult. I'm thinking of using a foam base to get the 3D shape right.

For my tavros horns i decided on foam core base covered in model magic which really isn't a hard medium to work with. And my Gamzee decided on a tin foil core base covered in model magic for his. Tinfoil proved to be the best way to do Gamzee's horns seeing as they have such a gentle curve and with other materials its easy to mess that up but with the tinfoil you can tweak it as you see fit. I also imagine the tinfoil method would work good for Vriska, Feferi, Eridan, and Eqqius horns aswell. I will continue to update you guys on the progress!! }: D

Is anyone else attempting to do the troll's teeth? Because my Gamzee and i were just planning on using the scarecrow vampire fangs for our canines. We were gonna use acrylic nails but we'd have to take them out whenever we wanted to eat and that'd a major pain in the ass and we figured that people are only gonna end up seeing our canines any ways *le shrug*. If anyone was looking for an easy way to do troll teeth i hoped this helped and if anyone has any better ideas let me know.

If my new fangs ever come in, I will be. I have to shoot another letter to the people I ordered from.

Also, I will be Kanaya Friday, Dolorosa Saturday, and, if I can complete it, Got Tier Jade Sunday. I will also have a Sollux and a Rose/Tavros with me as well.

Also was wondering, will there be any kind of photoshoot/gatherings? If possible, I would like to know as soon as possible so I can get someone to watch my table. :D

EDIT: Also, on the topic of makeup, if you can find it, I highly suggest Graftobian Ghost Grey. It goes on really, really smooth, and, though a couple of bucks more than Ben Nye, I find that I need to buy less of it.

Ok so i'm in the process of making my horns i'm just not sure how to attach them to the headband. If i was making anyones horns other then Tavros' i could use the superglue method but Tav's require a more sturdy set up. Ideas anyone?

Hey there everyone! I'm glad so many people are going! I've been looking around for any meet-ups, since me and my friends will be there on Saturday only. I'll be going as Jade with my friend as Terezi and another friend as Karkat. I've also met some Homestucks on deviantart going as well. c:

As for the Tavros horns, depending on the weight of the horns, I would say some kind of tape? Something you could easily paint over again to go unnoticed I mean. Such as duck tape or masking tape. That' the best I can give.

Good luck then! Just make sure the headband isn't just pure plastic, or else you'll break it in half and end up very sad. c':
