Electronic Pre-Registration for 2013

I'm not sure why my thread was deleted here. I did a search for it and it was completely gone. I understand it was answered with a "soon" response however when I checked back this month. not only no update but the whole thread went poof! lol! ohh well!

Anyhow, it's mid-june and last year I pre-reg'ed in early July. I am eager for this because everything starts with pre-registration. I just want to see the rates for this year and get that taken care of so that I can move onto other things like the hotel.

Yes, however without electronic registration I'm simply not going to pre-reg. You may consider that as backwards or perhaps you could lecture me on how i should've signed up at the table at this years convention for 2012. To be brutally honest I trust no one. I've signed up at tables for certain conventions only to find my pre-registration not present after a years planning. It's a terrific way of pissing someone off let me tell you!

Doing things electronically ensures that a third party like pay-pal is keeps receipts rather then expecting an individual to keep a little yellow carbon copy receipt for a solid year in their house. The price raise from last year is irrelevant and expected in the economy of the present. I expect to see organization. Or else it's a no-go.

I guess it also brings up another question. If you're seeing flyers for next year with the pre-registration rates at $30 yet the website has not been refreshed it sends a bad message.

A website is the only form of convention presence from the day after the convention all the way into next year. Even if the website is reduced to a splash page for 2013 and links to facebook and forms is far superior then just leaving the old website up. To say that there's flyers circulating the new prices but the website is still dated back in February indicates some major problems.

I checked your twitter and facebook sites. Your public facebook announcements end on April 2. your twitter activity ended on the 28th of April. By comparison to all of the social mediums you have your forum is the most active. I feel I am in the right place as joining facebook or twitter is unnecessary since you will obviously post on your forum as well. Dates are effective at the time of my response.

After everything said in this thread we are back to the very word that I mentioned at the beginning which is the only response i received is 'soon'.

I shall periodically check the website as you do not know.

Well, I guess this is a good a time as any to mention the new site and the pre-reg system is going up very very very soon! We're tweaking the last bits of it as I type. Check back within the next couple days for a whole new look, pre-reg stuff and more info!

Another question: Why did you raise the rates for pre-registrsation for online but leave the "at the door" rates the same as 2012? I bring this up because for a very short time it was $25 to pre-register online till the end of july last year which I did. And hey, I know running a convention is expensive! And with a raise in costs also comes a better quality of services offered especially for the volume of attendees that you have.

Pre-registering $5 more isn't going to slow me down. However, my only only concern for you guys is leaving the at the door rates the same is just going to result in heavier lines as there's less incentive to register early if it's just a $10 savings. and will also result in more people taking the 'wait and see' approach for day passes.
